Confidentiality and Disclaimer
Developer's statement
Version dated 11 June 2026
1. General provisions
1.1. This document sets out the position of the developer of the Qeli software (the "Developer" and the "Software" respectively) regarding confidentiality and limitation of liability when using the Software and the Qeli presentation website (the "Website").
1.2. The Software is distributed as open source and is intended for self-installation and self-operation by users on their own infrastructure.
1.3. By using the Software and/or the Website, the user confirms that they have read this document and accept its terms. If the user does not agree with them, use of the Software and the Website must cease.
2. Confidentiality. No data collection
2.1. The Software does not collect, store, transmit or send any information about the user, their device, activities or network traffic — neither to the Developer nor to any third party.
2.2. The Software contains no telemetry, analytics, remote statistics collection, hidden "phone-home" to the Developer's servers, or any other means of covert data transmission.
2.3. The Software operates entirely on the user's infrastructure. The Developer does not have and does not obtain access to users' servers, keys, configurations, network traffic or any other data.
2.4. Any data processed in the course of operating the Software (accounts, connection metadata, etc.) is solely under the control of the person who installed and operates the Software and is not transmitted to the Developer.
3. The presentation website
3.1. The Website is purely informational, requires no registration and contains no data-collection forms.
3.2. The Website uses no cookies, web analytics, advertising networks or tracking tools. The browser's local storage (localStorage) is used to remember the chosen interface language and to cache the repository's public GitHub statistics temporarily; this data never leaves the user's device.
3.3. To display fonts and public statistics, the user's browser may contact external services (Google Fonts, GitHub). Such requests are made by the user's browser and do not involve any data collection by the Developer.
3.4. The project's support page contains no embedded payment forms and no third-party scripts. Donation requisites are shown as static text, and following an external link (for example, to a payment service) happens on the user's action and opens a third-party resource with its own privacy policy; the Developer receives no data about that transition.
4. Software provided "as is"
4.1. The Software is provided "as is", without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of third-party rights.
4.2. The Developer does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation of the Software and undertakes no obligation to fix defects, provide support or release updates.
5. Limitation of liability
5.1. The Developer shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage, losses, lost profits, loss of data or other adverse consequences arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.
5.2. The Developer shall not be liable for the actions of third parties who install, configure or operate the Software, nor for the purposes, means or lawfulness of such use.
5.3. The Software is a neutral technical tool. The Developer does not control or endorse any particular use of the Software by third parties.
6. User responsibility
6.1. The user independently determines the purposes and means of using the Software and must use it in accordance with the law applicable to the user.
6.2. All responsibility for the installation, configuration and operation of the Software, for the compliance of such use with applicable law, and for any data processed by the user with the Software, rests solely with the user.
7. Open source and licenses
7.1. The Software's source code is open. The core and server part are distributed under the AGPL-3.0 license, the client applications under the MPL-2.0 license; distributed client builds together with the core are distributed under AGPL-3.0.
7.2. These licenses contain their own warranty and liability disclaimers, which apply to the Software alongside this document.
8. Final provisions
8.1. The Developer may amend this document. The current version is published on the Website; the date of the version is shown at the beginning of the document.
8.2. For matters relating to the Software, you may get in touch via GitHub Issues.
